Structural IntegriTEA
50g
Makes 5-10 pots of tea, depending on the strength you desire. Drink 1-3 cups a day for consistent replenishment.
Replete with nourishing minerals, Structural IntegriTEA is specifically formulated for (re)building bone density, hair, teeth, nails, and connective tissue.
I made this firstly for myself and my own family, to help with severe hair loss due to illness and stress, as well as rebuilding my bone density which was decreasing after having children and undergoing extreme stress.
I hope that this blend serves you as well as it has me.
It has a very earthy scent, similar to hay, yet the flavor is very mild, and not overly drying. I don’t find it necessary to add any sweetener, but you could add some raw honey, if feel that it enhances the flavor!
Revitalizing & Rebuilding Ingredients:
Organic nettle leaf
Organic comfrey leaf (not comfrey root, which is reserved for external use)
Organic alfalfa leaf
Organic oatstraw
Organic horsetail
Bamboo leaf
Nettle and alfalfa are some of the most nutrient and mineral rich herbs. Herbalist Sajah Popham writes that nettle has “a long standing traditional use as a mild but effective remedy for detoxification. In general, alterative remedies open up the channels of elimination of the body, facilitate in the expulsion of waste products, and adjust or “alter” the metabolic functioning of the body.” I first encountered nettle as a young child, while walking into town from my then-home in the English countryside. It was growing by the river, and I got stung by its leaves. I was shown that nettle grows nearby too it’s friend dockweed, which just happens to soothe the sting. Nettle has a tender place in my heart, because it was one of the first entry points into herbalism for me. Comfrey is a powerful bone building and mending herb, and is one of the main plant allies I turn to for bone and teeth support. Oatstraw, along with being mineral rich (including in magnesium and calcium and trace minerals) is also a gently calming herb due to its affinity for the nervous system. Herbal Academy writes that, “as the phrase “sowing your wild oats” hints, oats are also a love potion, supporting sexual health and increasing libido by nourishing the endocrine system and regulating hormones (Edwards, 2000), moistening glands, and restoring nerve health (Berger, 1998). Love potions also support heart health, and oats’ ability to lower cholesterol is well known.” Horsetail and bamboo are both high in silica, and are often used to support hair growth and nail strength. Alongside nettle, horsetail also support the body’s own natural detoxification processes. All of these herbs each have their own full multi-dimensional and synergistic properties, fortifying many body systems, and it could write about them forever! This is simply a starting place to understanding the nutrient and mineral density of these beautiful plant!
